The SMART Program, part of the Department of Defense (DoD) science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) portfolio, provides STEM students with the tools needed to pursue higher education and begin a rewarding career with the DoD. With a full scholarship, students pursuing STEM degrees will be able to focus on complex research to further the DoD's mission and create a lasting impact. Summer internships are performed at DoD facilities alongside scientists and engineers; these experiences prepare scholars for full-time employment and get them accustomed to working with the DoD. SMART is a one-for-one commitment; for every year of degree funding, the scholar commits to working for a year with the DoD as a civilian employee.The DoD civilian workforce is responsible for solving our Nation's most complex challenges by developing the next generation of defense technologies

- Worked personally with new members before initiation to educate them on Fraternity values and history- Led weekly meetings to inspire collaboration and acclimate new members to the Fraternity and UD Campus

- Facilitates recruitment events for potential new members to the brotherhood twice per year (in the fall and the spring semester)- Creates social media campaigns to garner interest for the fraternity and expand social media network- Develops events for the members of the fraternity to create strong bonds and networking with one another

- Facilities events to foster stronger connections between sorority members- Works on a team under the Vice President of Chapter Life

- Worked on a team under the Vice President of Membership Development- Facilitated the planning of events that benefit the physical, social, and emotional wellbeing of chapter members- Creates programs that are presented during weekly chapter meetings that encourage healthy communication

- Coordinated use of chapter house for events, meetings, and other activities- In charge of maintenance, repairs, and general house upkeep
