As Manager for Advocacy & Partnerships, I lead the implementation of WOSM’s advocacy efforts together with WOSM’s Youth Representatives in efforts to raise Scouting’s profile to position us as a leader in the non-formal education space. During my time in the role, I have led the development, delivery and scale-up of the advocacy and community action strategy for WOSM advocacy efforts relating to education, peace, human rights, SDGs, gender and the environment, empowering young people to take action and speak out to influence decision-makers on a local, national and global scale. • Developed a bank of advocacy training resources and delivered advocacy training for 20 youth representatives, developing their leadership and communication skills as well as engaging decision-makers in their campaigns.• I am the lead staff member for the Global Youth Mobilization programme, enabling young people all over the world to access funding to deliver covid-recovery efforts in their countries. • I coordinate advocacy outreach by organising and participating in conferences, side events, webinars, and meetings with key stakeholders including UN agencies and NGOs to advance our advocacy agenda.
