I gained valuable experience as a software development intern at SPIE, where I was tasked with rebuilding my company's job board. In this role, I had the opportunity to work extensively with TypeScript, Reactjs, and Redux Toolkit.One of the key challenges I encountered was the need to transition from React's native state management to a more robust solution that could eliminate the need for prop drilling in nested components. To resolve this, I embarked on a comprehensive rework of the job board application, replacing most of the existing React state with Redux Toolkit. In addition, I opted to migrate from using Axios for API calls to Redux Toolkit Query instead. By successfully implementing these changes, I solidified my understanding of how React manages state and calculates state changes and how Redux Toolkit can work on top of React to streamline state management.Furthermore, I utilized C# to build API endpoints and write methods for retrieving and saving data, providing a connection between the front-end and back-end components of the job board. By embracing new frameworks and technologies, overcoming challenges, and actively contributing to the development lifecycle, I demonstrated my ability to learn quickly and adapt to evolving project requirements.
