In addition, Forthglade has been tweeted about by Gok Wan (1.62m followers) and Kate Humble (97.8k followers) and received an Instagram post from Ok! Pr & Press AssistantVisit Cornwall Mar 2014 - Apr 2015- Capitalised on the launch of the BBC1 series, Poldark, by facilitating the planning and running of eight national press trips to the county. This involved close relationships and correspondence with relevant Visit Cornwall partners, members, press and the BBC. Seeded regular information to the travel and lifestyle press relating to the production, including filming locations, imagery and transmission dates. Resulting in 34 pieces of coverage, with a value in excess of £800,000 AVE.- Sourced and implemented Visit Cornwall’s first online image library for the use of partners and press. This involved creating a project brief, researching relevant suppliers, ensuring any solution was fit for purpose, liaising with the legal team to ensure that all terms and conditions of the site adhered to the strict council guidelines, and implementing the solution. The site was launched prior to the Tall Ship 2014 event, and has been used by the likes of The Telegraph, Press Association and regional media across the country. A link to the library can be found here: http://visitcornwall.isebox.net/media-library/ - Supported in the logistical planning of 49 UK and international press trips, which resulted in 260 pieces of media coverage with a £2.8m AVE- Played an instrumental role within the press office team at the Falmouth Tall Ships Regatta 2014; pre, during and post event . The event saw almost 200,000 people visit the town and provided a £20.9m boost to the county’s economy. My role included (but not limited to) liaising with event sponsors, coordinating and fulfilling the requirements of national, international and regional media, and management of event photographers and online media library.- Copywriting the weekly Visit Cornwall Five of the Best column for Cornwall & Devon Media (West Briton, Cornish Guardian and The Cornishman).- Ongoing partner relations to secure support for press trips and other marketing initiatives. -
Freelance Pr And Marketing ConsultantHannah Amos - Freelance Pr Consultant Feb 2014 - Apr 2015Truro, United Kingdom- In addition to my role at Visit Cornwall, I also worked as a freelance PR and marketing consultant delivering tailor-made solutions for lifestyle, travel and consumer brands including; - Rick Stein - The Richardson Hotel Group - Glisten Camping - Retallack Resort & Spa - Visit Cornwall- Managed and fulfilled a Discover Cornwall networking event for 25 European tour operators for Visit Cornwall. This involved:* Organising a two day familiarisation trip for the tour operators, giving them a taste of what Cornwall has to offer their customers. Responsible for negotiating all travel from London and around Cornwall, accommodation and activities. * Securing the attendance of 27 Cornish partners to attend the associated speed networking event. Attendees included representatives from: the English Heritage, St Aubyn Estates, National Maritime Museum and St Michaels Hotel & Spa.* Management of every element of the networking event: securing venue (The Eden Project), catering, comparing to ensure smooth running of the speed networking element and goodie bags for the attendees.* Project managed the production of event brochure: copywriting content, producing content specification for commissioned designer, liaising with said designer and printer, and final sign-off.- Assisted in the launch of Rick Stein’s first restaurant outside of Cornwall, in Winchester. This included running a schools community initiative, encouraging local students to be part of the restaurant by submitting fish-themed artwork to be displayed in the window.- Capitalised on the 2014 MasterChef final to secure a four page recipe-profile feature of the head chef at Retallack Resort & Spa, James Nathan (a previous MasterChef finalist) in S Magazine, the Daily Express supplement. - Worked closely with the marketing manager at The Richardson Hotel Group to create strategic package breaks to be promoted to its customer base as a bookings-driver during the shoulder months.

Temporary Marketing ManagerNaturepaint Oct 2013 - Feb 2014Hayle, Cornwall- Employed into the role of marketing manager on a temporary consultative basis to lead-on a number of projects.- Facilitated the introduction of the brand and product range to the national media via face-to-face journalist meetings in London. Meetings included Living Etc, Country & Town House, Country Living and House Beautiful. - Developed a strategic media launch plan for the 2014 colour range and initiated the implementation of it, including drafting launch press release, managing the formulation of a creative mailer for key journalist contacts and identifying industry trade and consumer events to showcase the new range at.- Managed the production of the 2014 product shoot; sourcing props (often negotiated on a free hire basis), coming up with the “look” for the new range and producing a mood board to reflect this, styling the shoot, liaising with supporting partners and finally presenting the finished shots to the company directors.- Created and implemented The BIG Paint Donate CSR initiative, a community project that involved donating paint to not-for-profit organisations. This involved identifying worthy causes, promoting the initiative and managing the logistics of delivering the paint. To date, as part of this scheme alone, NaturePaint has donated approximately 250 litres of paint to charities and individuals in need across Cornwall – and even an autism project in Scotland, who heard about The BIG Paint Donate via the company Facebook page.- Management of the company’s social media platforms – predominantly Twitter and Facebook. During my time with the company, Twitter followers have increased by 160% and Facebook likes by 25%.
