Hi! I'm Hannah. I'm an NIH-funded postdoctoral research fellow currently working in the Department of Applied Health Science at Indiana University School of Public Health-Bloomington.I graduated with my Ph.D. in Applied Social and Community Psychology from North Carolina State University in 2022. My research broadly focuses on developing, implementing, and evaluating effective health intervention strategies to improve adolescents' education, healthy behaviors, and overall wellbeing. Specifically, my work seeks to promote positive beliefs and behaviors related to sexual communication (for example: consent, condom negotiation, and assertiveness) among youth.I am strongly committed to teaching and mentoring; during my time at NC State, I developed and taught an undergraduate course titled Psychology of Gender for three years. I've given guest lectures in areas including psychology, public health, gender & sexuality studies, and professional development. I welcome the opportunity to deliver invited talks related to my work on broader adolescent sexual health and sexual communication!Outside of an academic setting, I'm passionate about the arts, travel, and my Siamese cat, Winnie. I apply my creative skills and drive to my work with the goal of contributing positively to the world and the lives of those around me.
