Provides nursing assistance and patient care. Assists patients with activities of daily living and performs procedures for physical hygiene and comfort of patients. Performs duties with a patient care team while sharing various tasks with other licensed and non licensed members. Secondary to clinical duties, assists with general clerical and reception duties which is characterized by preparing and maintaining patient charts and entering information into computerized patient care system.

Assisted Ophthalmologists to ensure patients are properly prepped and evaluated for their eye exams.• Received guidance from doctors in order to carry out various clinical tasks, abide by HIPAA, and facilitate doctors’ notes during eye exams for an average of 36 patients per day.• Conducted pre-examination eye measurements that include: Visual Acuity, EOMs (Extra Ocular Movements), Pupil Examination, Refractions, IOP Checks (Intra Ocular Pressure), Anterior Slit Lamp Examinations, OCT/Visual Fields Testing, Document chief complaints.
