Mabuhay! I'm Hannah, a Green Building practitioner and aspiring architect in the Philippines. Growing up in the downtown cities, grand plazas and public parks from San Diego, California to Manila, Philippines, I've always wanted to make art of these sceneries. It was during my studies in Makati Science High School when I learned to enhance my skills from sketching to technical drafting. During that time, I heard my calling to join the fight against Climate Change and protect the natural and built environments that I have so much passion for.I completed my BS degree in Architecture at the Technological University of the Philippines-Manila after proposing an Eco-Business and Tourism Complex in San Juan, La Union. The sustainable design of the mixed-use development focused on open space planning, walkability, vertical farming, and waste management- helping businesses, workers and tourists in the spot. From there and without a doubt, I decided to continue paving this path towards Sustainable Architecture for a career.Since 2019, I have executed Green Building Design and Construction coordination roles at ecoSolutions Engineers & Project Managers, Nepthy Del Rosario & Partners, Makati Development Corporation (MDC) and today at Visionarch (Visionary Architecture Inc.).I have participated in LEED and BERDE certifications of various building projects by Filipino developers- AyalaLand, Alveo, Megaworld and ISOC Land. I now hold my hard-earned LEED Green Associate and EDGE Expert credentials while embracing the challenge of working on EDGE Building and LEED for Neighborhood and Development projects.I believe that if we rebuild our communities, and design our homes or workplaces using sustainable and environmental friendly innovations- we are ensuring a greener tomorrow, teaching new generations to protect ecosystems, and sustain resources for the future.
