From treating critically ill patients to reassuring families in multiple languages and working efficiently with a multidisciplinary team, emergency medicine showed me the best of what can be accomplished on what is often the worst day of patient’s lives. I learned that teamwork, humility, and passion are key to delivering the best care for patients. Pursing advanced training in medical toxicology further enhanced my appreciation for the complexities of applied pharmacology in a clinical setting. After completing my training I followed my passions for working with underserved and multilingual patients in both community and county hospitals in Phoenix, Arizona. I enjoyed delivering culturally competent care to a diverse patient population, and hope that I can make their worst day a little more manageable. Transitioning to a career in pharmaceutical research was a logical continuation of my passion for ensuring all patients and their safety are considered in the process of drug development and treatment. As a medical toxicologist I am uniquely suited to bridge the worlds of clinical practice and pharmaceutical research. I am interested in connecting with others in clinical research, biotechnology and the pharmaceutical industry, and am open to opportunities for personal and career development.
