I specialise in supporting organisations to develop inclusive communications and engagement approaches that focus attention and maximise impact. I believe we go further when we go together.I’m a rurally-raised wahine Māori māmā; a born storyteller and poet; a natural connector of people; an extroverted-introvert; and kaitiaki for te taiao. I am privileged to walk between worlds, kitchen tables and boardrooms with ease.To add to my kete, I’ve got in-house, agency, business ownership and leadership experience across the strategic communications and engagement gambit. I’ve worked across start-ups, education, health, whānau ora, disability, housing, and with a myriad of different groups who make up our diverse communities. This multi-faceted experience has taught me that every effective kaupapa has one thread in common: engaged people at the centre, who feel valued and connected to the goal and path ahead.I also know a thing or two about practice that authentically and transparently values the triple bottom line, with two rounds of B Corp Certification under my belt and seven years running a successful social enterprise consultancy full-time.Alongside my in-house leadership mahi, I lecture at University of Canterbury and continue to take on limited consulting, education and speaking kaupapa around my most important role: motherhood.
