Working to combat fraud, waste, and abuse as an auditor at the DOI OIG, Office of Audits, Inspections, and Evaluations. At WVU, I studied at the John Chambers College of Business and Economics to complete the Masters of Accountancy concentrating in Assurance. The program guided students through in-depth topics in auditing and related technologies to improve our understanding of assurance procedures. In addition to the Masters of Accountancy program, I completed the Masters of Forensics and Fraud Examination curriculum. This program gave real-life experience in the field as we studied everything from evidence gathering through courtroom preparation during our studies. During my undergraduate education at Saint Francis University I completed a Bachelors of Arts in Spanish and a Bachelors of Science in both Accounting and Finance, while also completing a minor in Economics. I worked on undergraduate research in the area of economics and presented at the 2019 APEE conference's undergraduate event. As President of the Society of Economic Analysis, I worked with students and our advising professor to organize events, plan educational trips, and establish a team to compete in the College Fed Challenge. My work as a scholarship student for the Small Business Development Center exposed me to start-ups and small businesses and afforded me the opportunity to develop knowledge of financial spreading, creation of business plans, marketing, advertising, and industry research.
