ZMM Group is a boutique PR agency catering predominantly to professional services firms, and with a particular focus on the property sector. At ZMM Group I managed a wide portfolio of corporate clients, developing and implementing corporate affairs strategies, authoring large volumes of targeted content including highly sensitive briefing materials, pitching to media, and coaching key spokespeople prior to interviews. Of note, I closely supported Genworth’s (ASX: GMA) external communications prior, during, and post its highly successful Australian Stock Exchange listing, which saw the company valued at $1.9 billion.I additionally led a number of business process improvement initiatives, engaged in business development, and recruited, trained, and managed a number of junior team members.

This was a casual, cross-departmental role undertaken while living between Sydney and Milan. It involved implementing initiatives to ensure internal stakeholders (staff, senior management, contractors) were informed of organisational news, issues and direction in line with the external communications strategy and overarching business strategy.

In this role I created and implemented transnational communications strategies designed for ESL English speakers, as the English liaison between Auchan's Italian, Russian, Ukrainian, Taiwanese, and Chinese subsidiaries.I additionally translated a range of corporate documentation (Italian to English), including product descriptions, sales presentations, C-suite level correspondence, and a host of legal documents, including contracts determining the terms of trade between the different Auchan subsidiaries.

To support myself on an extended holiday in Milan, Italy, I set up a small English language tutoring business. This involved providing English language lessons to a range of executive-level financial professionals, university students, and primary school children.During this time I also taught myself Italian, from zero to the point of professional fluency.

Several years out of high school, I founded and operated an events management company in the Sydney night club scene. This involved hiring and managing a permanent team of operational and promotional staff, and a rotating roster of DJs, MCs, dancers and singers. I additionally designed and implemented a regular series of marketing and advertising campaigns, including cross-promotional activities with international concert promoters.I authored and pitched all business proposals, venue agreements, and marketing collateral.
