Beginning in June 2024 (and officially June 30, 2024), I am serving as the Associate Pastor at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Hickory, North Carolina. Preaching, presiding, and planning for worship are at the center of my pastoral ministry. In addition to the responsibilities specified in my Letter of Call, I share the following ministry areas with the Senior Pastor: • Preaching and Worship planning in partnership with the Director of Worship & Music Ministry • Pastoral Care in partnership with Stephen Ministry• Evangelism Ministry – Helping the congregation fulfill its call to share the gospel. Preaching, teaching, and modeling evangelism. Specifically invite, welcome, and engage visitors to participate in worship, build relationships in our community of faith, and practice a life of discipleship.Additionally, I am the lead pastor in the following areas: • Faith Formation Ministry – all classes and programs, including confirmation ministryo Faith Stepping Stones and Cross-Generational Faith programso Vacation Bible Camp, Easter Adventure, etc. • Youth and Family Ministry (with children and youth – in partnership with parents/families)• Young Adult Ministry• Service, Mission, and Outreach Ministries

Compile and edit weekly worship videos. Write and publish social media content. Manage and compile a network of social media profiles. Create and publish a weekly newsletter of church events.

A required aspect of my ordination process in the ELCA, I am currently serving as the Vicar/Intern at both Augsburg Lutheran Church and the North Carolina Synod. In both roles, I am broadening my pastoral presence and reach.

Interned for 200 hours at a vibrant downtown church in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Assisted in planning worship opportunities, taught youth education classes, and led an adult Sunday school class and Bible study.

Facilitated different fundraising processes within the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) Churchwide Headquarters. Developed and implemented an event for over 30,000 youth to participate in at the 2018 ELCA Youth Gathering. Coordinated different aspects of fundraising with a multigenerational, multi-site team.

Enhanced college students’ writing abilities. Revised papers and motivated peers to write well.

Represented the Augustana student body while interacting with influential donors at events organized by the Augustana Advancement Office.

Shadowed the lead pastors in a vibrant, growing Lutheran congregation in the Pacific Northwest. Preached two sermons, led worship services, and struggled with the future of parish ministry with the dynamic staff and congregation.

Worked with attorneys and legal assistants to scan closed files into databases. Helped with various legal projects, like updating jury instructions.Organized the closed file storage space.

Expedited workplace procedures to catalog years of insurance files. Facilitated administrative assistant’s duties.
