Oversee a production team of forty to fifty union employees and problem solve issues that may arise in daily production. Schedule staff utilizing Kronos time management and make time edits to fix employee errors. Obtained Chicago health department food manager certification and Serv Safe certification to uphold the health standards in the operation. Ensure nutrition cards and labeling is in place for consumers. Introduced a pilot program to the kitchen staff utilizing a tablet for recipes, production methods, and results, it was a huge success and was introduced to the rest of the campus the following academic year. Trained individuals and groups on how the tablets worked and helpful tips to ensure the employee felt confident in completing crucial tasks such as taking temperatures every two hours. Constructed an excel document for tracking meal count history data to ensure the operation had more accurate forecasting numbers for production. Nominated to be Labor Champion to report labor hours to the corporation and innovate systems to reduce labor hours. By implementing overtime sign-up sheets that were scheduled a week ahead the account was able to reduce the number of union grievances and lower overtime labor hours by 6% compared to the prior year. Innovate new ideas daily to help the operation run more efficiently and hold staff accountable.

Owens Center

Utilized Rectrack software to sign up customers for lessons and recreational activities, transfer of funds to different recreational activities in the park district, and bill any ice rentals or reservations. Oversee the set-up and accommodate if there are any birthday parties or group reservations. Tasked with detailed cleaning assignments to accomplish within a set amount of time to ensure the facility was in pristine condition. Assist with pro shop sales and keep an inventory of sales. Complete accident reports and administers first aid if an injury occurs in the facility. Direct skate guards, learn to skate instructors, concession employees, ice maker drivers in daily tasks in appropriate and safe manners. Allot cleaning related tasks to employees at the end of the night and assist in cleaning and preparation for the operation. Finish the regular finances at the end of the night.
