Work Force Manager
• Managed a team of up to 35 proctors • Acted as a liaison between my proctors and the coordinators above me• Created my own organization system to increase my and my team’s efficiency• Kept track of data in Excel in order to understand wider trends of my own volition• Maintained constant contact with my proctor team via Slack and with the coordinators and other WFMs via Zoom throughout the entirety of every shift• Enjoyed working with a very diverse group of teams, primarily in India and the Philippines, working especially closely with a very diverse team based in the US• Learned more about multicultural communication and successfully navigated the language barriers and potential miscommunications that can exist between native and non-native English speakers• Successfully juggled my proctors’ individual time and scheduling requirements to ensure exam coverage• Used my conflict resolution skills to mediate between proctors, between my team and other teams, and have the occasional uncomfortable conversation when conflict arose• Discovered I am the kind of leader I always hoped I would be- collaborative, personable, fun-loving, and encouraging while staying focused on objectives and inspiring my team to new heights• Maintained the highest standards of confidentiality, as set by the US government for their independent contractors
