Profile bio

About Hannah Read (She/Her)

As a Targeted Youth Advisor and L6 qualified Careers Advisor I work with vulnerable young people in Tendring to help them re-engage with community services and employment, education, or training. I also support children to access respite activities where this is difficult for them already. All families that I support are on either CIN or CP plans and have exhausted all other community services without positive change being affected. Many of the clients that I work with face barriers such as being at risk of criminal/sexual exploitation, alcohol/drug misuse, mental health issues, unstable home environments, being in care, possessing criminal records, low or no qualifications from school, and domestic abuse (among others). I primarily support young people face-to-face however also conduct sessions on Minecraft for those that respond better to this form of engagement. I provide a bespoke service to my clients based on their needs and work with a strengths-based and collaborative approach. As well as Social Care I work alongside organisations such as Essex Police, Essex Youth Service, Youth Offending, EWMHS, and other youth support services.

Listed skills include Photography, Marketing, Video Editing, Creative Writing, and 21 others.
