I create and edit my own voice tracks and show prep every day for entertaining topics to relate to my primarily female audience.★ EVENT COORDINATION: I was recognized by the local station manager and with a nationwide email from corporate management for conducting a successful annual event, Pastors Masters Golf Tournament, attended by 100+ pastors. Coordinates annual station events Pastors & First Responders Appreciation Lunch and Women in Ministry Luncheon. Looks over all details of events. ★ STATION REPRESENTATION: I emceed a 3-hour event for a local company with 300 attendees in 2019. The CEO and Public Relations Coordinator requested a repeat performance. I emcee for annual Walk for Life event with Life Network that hosts nearly 2,000 people. ★ PROMOTIONS: I performed marketing for our digital platforms, social media, Eblast (emails to fan clubs), and all events and web site campaigns. I promoted comedian Tim Hawkins on the station, web site, digital, social media, push notifications, and ticket giveaways for Hawkins' show at Pikes Peak Center. I was tapped to be the stage opener for the sold-out 2500-person venue. I showcased personal branding, the morning show, and station identity to gain listeners.

I wrote a story that raised community awareness of brain cancer and the organization receiving donations for research and treatment. ★ CAMERA WORK: I shot baseball highlights solo in the second week of my internship. Later, I filmed college and high school games, sporting news events, and press conferences.★ STAFF HOURS SAVED: I saved work for the sports team by providing highlights used for 6 pm or 10 pm show 4 days per week. ★ ANNOUNCING: I hosted the live play-by-play and commentary for 16 home games for college men’s and women’s soccer and 2 basketball games.★ SPORTS KNOWLEDGE: I prepared for each game by researching the other team and statistics, knowing the rosters and player histories. I added to my lifelong accumulation of information by attending and watching sporting events. ★ SOCCER SOLO: I provided live play-by-play and color commentary for 6 hours of men’s and women’s soccer games when my broadcast partner called in sick immediately before my third experience delivering live play-by-play to parents and fans in Sioux County.

★ STATE TOURNAMENT SOLO COVERAGE: For my first solo coverage, I produced footage of an all-day state boys baseball tournament that aired throughout northwest Iowa. I planned and scheduled an efficient day of footage and post-game interviews that led the 6 pm broadcast. I calmly delivered on deadline despite a time crunch caused when a game went 12 innings.★ STORYTELLING: I attended a fund raiser and interviewed teammates of a 1985 university basketball player diagnosed with brain cancer. My story included highlights of interviews that best illustrated the history of the team and featured player, raising community awareness of brain cancer and an organization receiving donations for research and treatment. ★ BASEBALL PACKAGE: I delivered my first full package as an intern for an award-winning television station. I recorded a standup on a local minor league baseball team used at 6 pm. It included footage of practice and interviews with players and coaches.★ CAMERA WORK: I shot baseball game highlights solo in the second week of my internship. The footage aired that evening. Later, I filmed college and high school games, sporting news events, and press conferences.★ STAFF HOURS SAVED: I saved the sports team time by providing highlights used for the 6 pm or 10 pm show 4 days per week. The team used all of the work I provided. ★ SPORTS ANCHORING PRACTICE: I rehearsed anchoring and using the teleprompter twice weekly and wrote scripts for highlight clips during reporting and anchoring.

★ SOCIAL MEDIA: I created the Dordt Women's Basketball Blog with athlete biographies to involve our community, families, and younger athletes with our team mission and athletic program, telling our team stories and experiences. As a result, we united the basketball and football communities. Elementary schools listened and invited our team members to read to the students. I blogged weekly in the summer and monthly during the school year, inviting our coach and team members as guest bloggers. I developed surveys and polls and posted / updated them on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.★ PUBLIC RELATIONS: I maintained the involvement of our community in and support of university sports during games in California by informing parents, professors, and fans back home in Iowa daily of game results and activities through photos and blog posts.

★ NEWSGATHERING: I interviewed coaches and players pre/half/post-game. I commentated and updated during home and away games live on the field and logged statistical information on the game.★ TOURNAMENT HOSTING: Commentated for 2014 girls Minnesota AAAA State High School Basketball Tournament and football games.
