Philosophy of Health Promotion and Exercise ScienceMy current major at Shepherd University is HYPEX (health promotion an exercise science) with a concentration in health sciences. With this major, I will pursue a career in Physical Therapy or Nursing which will both require extra years of school. HYPEX provides an understanding and in-depth learning of the body, along with exercises and movements that accompany it. I am also able to learn about the wellness and health promotion side of it that deals with worksite health promotion programs.
