• Campaign Bootcamp: Project managed and evaluated a groundbreaking new partnership between Campaign Bootcamp and The Guardian to equip 35 young Kenyan activists with the skills necessary to fight Female Genital Mutilation in their communities.• Oxfam GB: Designed and delivered a training workshop on Public Narrative and Storytelling for Oxfam’s UK-based network of campaigners and activists, building stories that illustrate personal values in a campaigning context.• Resurgence & The Ecologist Magazine: Designed and facilitated a focus group discussion on how the publication could improve its reach and relevance amongst young people.• Restless Development: Designed and facilitated two focus group discussions on the role of young people in delivering the global Sustainable Development Goals. Drafted a report for the Department for International Development, to inform the next steps of their youth strategy process.• London Roots Facilitation Collective: Joined their pool of facilitators following a rigorous training weekend. • Strategy Development: Supported the development of the organisation’s first global Policy & Practice strategy, designing the strategy process, reaching out to key partners and international staff, researching development trends and upcoming international moments, and drafting the final outcome.• Representation: Coordinated engagement in international meetings in New York, Sri Lanka, Mexico, Senegal and Geneva, facilitating the youth constituency’s input to the Post-2015 Sustainable Development Goals process.• Training: Developed new training resources for young advocates at the international level, running workshops for diverse UK and overseas groups.• Network Support: Supported the coordination of the DFID/CSO Youth Working Group, the Beyond 2015 Children and Youth Working Group, and the UN Major Group of Children and Youth.• Policy Development: Collaboratively drafted Restless’s first position papers, creating clear, innovative and consistent messaging for UK, UN and international decision makers and audiences.• Internal Sustainability: collaborated with an working group to build a carbon-footprinting tool with KPMG, drafted the first organisational sustainability policy and action plan, and ran internal capacity-building workshops for UK staff and the international team.

As one of two Co-Directors, I was responsible for the vision, direction and day-to-day running of a leading youth climate organisation, navigating a team of over 60 young volunteer organisers from across the UK through a particularly challenging stage in the development of an ambitious young organisation.

Coordinating the UKYCC’s international work, I developed the UKYCC’s International Engagement strategy, coordinated involvement with the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change, and created platforms for youth interaction and advocacy targeting the UK Government negotiation team.

I managed the European diary for Nobel Laureate Wangari Maathai and the European Director, and collaborated with Kenyan and US offices. Further duties included: public relations, external communications and events management.

I led workshops on different aspects of theatre for a group of 30 8-11 year-olds, incl. storytelling and set-design, producing term-by-term plans that included theatre trips, external workshops and public performances.

Fundraised for student scholarships and resource development at the university, maintaining a strong relationship between the university and its graduates.
