- Edited and condensed public expenditure tracking studies prepared by civil society organizations worldwide for book publication.

- Developed the vision, institutional structure, and strategic plan for the new Center for Study and Documentation of Afro-Colombian History and Cultures, in collaboration with the Center's director. - Initiated and maintained relationships with international institutions, including Vanderbilt University, FilmAid International, University of Pennsylvania and The Schomburg Center for the Study of Black Culture. - Led preparation of grant requests and project proposals; coordinated joint funding proposals with other institutions. - Supervised project planning done by two other Center consultants.

· Coordinated relationships with partner organizations for programs related to climate change, sustainably grown coffee, payment for ecosystem services, and communications.· Wrote grants for foundations such as the MacArthur Foundation and the Disney/Busch Gardens Conservation Fund, and other program documents, including donor reports and planning documents.· Provided research and analysis support to all programs.· Translated all documents to/from English and Spanish, in particular, press releases, scientific articles, and program documents.

Created framework for use by the Conservation & Science Program in assessment of marine, ecosystem-based management proposals; designed research agenda, conducted a comparative review of holistic, ecological management systems and case studies, articulated program assumptions about best management practices, and surveyed individuals involved in ongoing marine ecosystem projects.

Produced indicators and measures for local Ecuadorian NGO to determine the impacts of an ecotourism program in Cayambe-Coca Ecological Reserve. Position coordinated by The Nature Conservancy.

In addition to managing administrative tasks for two programs, I was given responsibilities beyond those of most program assistants, including:· Research, writing, and editing for Congressional testimony, presentations, public education materials, and correspondence.· Briefing staff members on Congressional hearings, particularly those related to transportation funding reauthorization.
