Assisting with Faculty at WVU Health Affairs Institute and Stakeholders at the state level to address the factors contributing to the Direct Care Worker shortage in West Virginia.

Interned in the Center for Quality Outcomes at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital with their Quality, Safety, and High Reliability Officer. Facilitated in creating a comprehensive safety huddle agenda with prompts for hospitals in WVU Medicine system. Assisted in tracking and recording gratitude emails for safety event reporting; as well as, surveying individuals from email tracking list. Attended various quality-centered and quality initiative meetings with individuals within the quality department and with executives at the hospital. Created informational quality-related documents to be shared and used as a reference for clinical and non-clinical staff. Shadowed various positions within the quality department.

Assisting with Faculty at WVU and WVU Health Affairs Institute to help elucidate factors contributing to the Direct Care Worker shortage in West Virginia and to develop a strategic plan with objectives and goals to address the shortage.

Completed an internship as a Strength and Conditioning intern for the WVU Dance Team. Facilitated weekly strength and conditioning workout sessions for the dancers over the course of the semester.

Catered to members of the Country Club and local individuals of the community.
