Venues + Events Live is a market leading exhibition for the events industry, attracting over 7,000 visitors and 500 exhibitors over 2 days each September. Responsible for all commercial aspects of squaremeal.co.uk, the annual SquareMeal Venues + Events Guide and annual SquareMeal Christmas magazine. Leading a team of six-eight account execs and managers to generate advertising and listing revenue from the dining, private dining and events sectors of the hospitality industry. We develop strategic partnerships for our clients allowing them to interact with our unrivalled audience of restaurant and event bookers across a number of platforms. Key achievements over the three years included: • Increase in top line revenue by implementing a sponsorship sales strategy to support exhibition stand sales strategy. • Increasing exhibitor retention rate to 75% in 2018• Developing brand strategy to increase awareness both in the lead up and during the event; procuring contra arrangements with top quality suppliers to deliver this at no extra costV+E Live was acquired by Ocean Media Group in July 2018. Supported the transition of ownership whilst delivering the final event.
