I led Rainforest Alliance's relationships, programme development and resource mobilisation from European Governments and multilaterals such as the Global Environment Facility. I designed several successful seven- and eight-figure bids and programmes focussing on human rights, livelihoods, environmental protection and climate change adaptation and mitigation. Most of these were within the coffee and cocoa sectors and involved significant cross-sector collaboration.

London Based, With Significant Travel To East Africa And Latin America

I led Twin’s programmes and partnerships with coffee sector stakeholders, working closely with buyers, roasters, retailers, donors and cooperatives to ensure positive impact for coffee communities. I was responsible for Twin's global coffee strategy, business development and monitoring and evaluation, managing staff in the UK, Latin America and East Africa.

Whitehall (One Year Secondment)

As part of a U.K. Government leadership development programme, I spent 12 months as a Senior Policy Advisor within the Department of Energy and Climate Change. I led on fuel poverty targeting, with direct responsibility for design and delivery of a £320million fuel poverty programme and managed a high performing team.

VSO is the world’s leading international development organisation working through volunteers. My role was to manage strategic partnerships and co-create new agriculture and livelihoods programmes with the private sector. As part of the role I spent a considerable amount of time living and working overseas, including a year in Ghana (where I led on the development and implementation of part of the Cocoa Life Programme) and 6 months in Bangladesh.

An international not-for-profit vocational education organisation, my role was to develop and maintain strategic corporate partnerships.

A £10million DFID funded youth volunteering programme run by Christian Aid, Islamic Relief and BUNAC. I managed projects and relationships with partner organisations in Ghana and later, India.

Swaziland And Uk

Tenteleni is a volunteer led not-for-profit that supports local education and youth based projects in sub-Saharan Africa. I was responsible for managing a three-month project in Swaziland, with responsibility for 12 volunteers working in local schools, prior to moving into the fundraising team.

Zambia

I spent a year as a VSO volunteer in Zambia working as a Programme Development and Funding Advisor for two community-based local partner organisations.
