I am working towards devising, implementing and managing the Sports Departments' EDI strategy and associated programmes. I will be leading on the development more inclusive processes, practices and programmes from students and staff from protected characteristic groups, supporting them to enhance academic achievement and providing a positive experience of student life for all.

I am striving to enhance the University's reputation as one of the leading institutions within the higher education sector for disability sport. In conjunction with My Sight Nottingham, I have helped to set up and establish the Nottinghamshire Sheriffs Goalball club - providing opportunities for visually impaired students, staff and members of the local community, to become engaged with an exciting Paralympic sport. Similarly, through close work with students and colleagues, I have worked to obtain funding to equip and set up the University's wheelchair basketball club. Mental health in sport has also been an active focus and I have worked closely with key stakeholders to support the development of our Welfare in Sport campaign, which has successfully worked with our 74 sports clubs to train and raise awareness in this area.I have been working closely with local sporting organisations, the Nottinghamshire CSP, the EFDS, NDSOs and NGBs based in the region, to ensure that as a University we can continue to deliver a fantastic sporting experience. I worked in a part time capacity on marketing and PR activity for the University's sports department. I re-developed the content and structure of our sports website in partnership with the University's digital team. My role included managing this website, delivering successful marketing campaigns and establishing our social media activity, to ensure maximum profile of sport at the University.

I'm currently working in voluntary capacity as chair of the Disability Sport subcommittee reporting in to and sitting on the BUCS Inclusion Board. Interested to hear about the work currently taking place around disability sport in the HE sector.

During my six years at Speedo, my role evolved allowing me to grow and develop my project management, networking and digital marketing skills. I worked on the development of a number of brand experience websites, as well as digitally supporting the Sports Marketing and PR teams at major sporting events such as the Olympics and World Championships.

My role at the ASA involved managing and updating their website, as well as developing and maintaining relationships with the national swimming media.I was also responsible for running the media centre at National Championships, ensuring that all requests were met and that the events received maximum coverage in the press.
