BME PhD Candidate in Dr. Amit Pathak's Mechanobiology Laboratory. I investigate how changes to the underlying stiffness activate immune cells and the subsequent response.

As a Research Assistant in the Biofilms Engineering Research Group in the School of Chemical Engineering and Bioengineering at Washington State University I have worked on a variety of projects involving microbiology and electrochemistry. A shortlist of the projects includes:-Assessing the efficacy of a novel piece of technology in treating biofilms in infected wounds-Constructing and designing microbial fuel cells (MFCs)-Comparing the rate of dissolved oxygen with electrode size for cathodes in MFCs-Assist with the construction of large-scale MFCsHighlights include:-Present research at the annual Electrochemical Society conference-Improve protocol for equipment such as reference electrodes-Design and construct reactors to compare the amount of dissolved oxygen to the electrode size of cathodes in MFCs-Train students on basic microbiology techniques such as growing overnight cultures, serial diluting and counting colony forming units (CFUs), implementing an ex vivo biofilm model, etc.

Part of my research include improving an ex vivo biofilm model to assess cytotoxicity limits and healing capabilities of a medical device.This included optimizing and troubleshooting existing protocols and implementing new protocols to extract, maintain, and analyze porcine tissue samples.

As a Visitor Experience Guide (VEG) I check-in and interact with the patrons on the front desk and on the museum floor. I have recieved training on how to interact with children of certain ages to best help their education and growth.

Taught elementary age children basics of skiing. Level 1 ski instructor certified through PSIA-AASI.
