Storytelling is one of the most crucial elements to brand success and is also one of the most human ways we connect with one another. My passion for storytelling has gone on for several years now and throughout my career one thing has remained constant: people love authentic stories. (And that’s true even for B2B folks!) So, how do you tell authentic stories for a brand? That to me is the most rewarding part about my role as a communications professional. Hunting down those stories, understanding them, and then finding new and unique ways to tell them. Whether it’s through earned, digital, or social media, the platform in which you tell those stories matters. Telling a meaningful story at the right time to the right audience is invaluable for a brand. I love helping consumers, reporters, and stakeholders have the ‘aha’ moment with the stories I help write, shape, and deliver. Storytelling is such a passion of mine that I spend my free time coaching area youth on how to tell the most persuasive stories through competitive Speech and Debate. Whether it’s my side hustle of coaching or my day job of working in earned media, I love a good story. So tell me, what's yours?
