Working with SumUp to achieve, its goal to create a world in which small business owners, to be successful doing what they love. In an agile and fast pace environment, we shaped a transparent, inclusive and trusted brand, which adapts quickly to the ever-changing needs of the markets and customers. Being responsible for the EU wide brand activities, incl. leading market and marketing research, campaign strategy, creation and tracking, channel activation.I established brand and advertising tracking for the company, which enabled fast and data-driven decisions making on investments and to improve marketing effectiveness. Set up the DACH team of the newly created country teams, in which we worked as an independent unit with Performance and marketing members. Being responsible for pricing, marketing, campaigns, communication etc. whilst still being part of the wider brand team, in which we took care of Pan-EU wide activities.In 2020 we created the first ever Pan-EU wide campaign "You know complicated. Here is simple.", which was launched in 7 countries and lead to a significant increase in awareness, brand searches and advertising recall.In 2021 I took on the interim role of DACH country growth lead for 3 months leading a team of 8 people, representing the DACH market and its needs, as well as building a market strategy after an in depth market research and market analytics.

In my current role I have oversight for all asset management as well as being the principal point of contact for visual brand advice and approval. Core tasks include running marketing campaigns and initiatives across TV, print, online, radio and through trade partners. In lieu of the Brand Manager, I maintain campaign message uniformity cross-channel and ensure brand is in line with the business’ global marketing strategy and key focuses. As a member of the brand team, I work closely with colleagues in the wider marketing department and the sales, product and finance teams to promote brand message and ensure campaign plans are met. This requires me to liaise with both internal and external stakeholders which include PR, content creation agencies and B2B clients. A part of my most recent role is handling the budget management for brand-related projects and the yearly marketing planning in collaboration with the Senior Marketing Management team.

I was the project manager for all asset creation including product photography, videos, rich feature content and customer support content for website and trade usage. I further managed the logistics, approval and publication processes working closely with various internal and external stakeholders. Supporting the Brand Manager, I delivered multiple advertising campaigns, executed the annual marketing plan and implemented a consistent global brand communication strategy cross-platform. One of my key achievements was leading the setup and execution of the email marketing platform for all Beko brands which enabled direct communication with our consumers after their purchase.

After completing my apprenticeship I maintained sole responsibility for the management of the company’s trade fairs and events calendar. I managed the entire process from initial planning through to post-evaluation for large (120m2) trade stands and held a key role for the success in delivering the annual International Consumer Electronics Fair (IFA), one of the largest events of its type worldwide. This role gave me experience in working with a variety of stakeholders including the sales teams and various external agencies and event organisers within the high pressure time constraints of such event organisation periods.

Throughout my apprenticeship I was able to apply my theoretical knowledge of Marketing whilst at the same time, building on my practical business skills. I had the opportunity to work in other departments within Grundig including product management, finance, logistics and order management. This helped me to get a better understanding of the company structure and really integrate into the company.
