Research ScientistOncorena Ab And Sahgrenska Academy, Gothenburg University Sep 2013 - Aug 2016Gothenburg, SwedenMy work at Oncorena and GU involved the development of a renal cancer drug based on the mushroom toxin Orellanine. I studied the mechanism of action of the drug using a CRISPR/cas9 Library as well as studying the response of the drug on primary renal clear cell cancer cells from human patients. I was also responsible for setting up the CRISPR/Cas9 technique in the lab. Research AssociateMassachusetts General Hospital And Harvard Medical School Oct 2011 - Mar 2013Boston, MaI was working in Peter Mundel's group studying cell signaling pathways in podocytes. As a trained organic chemist I now learned number of new techniques, such as RT-PCR, handling of cells (podocytes and HEK), Molecular cloning, Western blotting and Confocal Microscopy. Working at Harvard also provided the privilege of learning new hot techniques in an inspiring research environment, such as the overexpression and knocking out proteins using lentivirus as an infection tool and studying the actin… Show more I was working in Peter Mundel's group studying cell signaling pathways in podocytes.
