Digital Trust & Privacy - Consultant
External Lecturer
I’ve been facilitating the course “Ethics and Technology”. The ethics and technology course focuses on data protection, privacy and surveillance of data in relation to security technologies and health care. Furthermore, the course is introducing students to various value based design strategies order to solve privacy related problems in technology.During the semester I prepared the students for a range of tests, and held meetings with individual students and groups, providing them with an oral evolution of their output and advising on opportunities to improve.
Phd Candidate
I managed a research project from initiation to completion, planning and tracking work to a schedule and ensuring timely delivery of key outputs. I delivered the finished project on time after three years of work. In this research project I analysed a complex problem involving governments’ use of dataveillance, data protection and informational privacy. Based on my research I suggested a change in how governments use individuals’ data, and proposed a specific methodology to help reconcile the values of informational privacy and public security in technology. As a part of my research project and to enhance my research skills I went to the USA for 2.5 months to work on the research project and collaborate with a research centre in the field of ethics and technology. I collaborated closely with a number of professors at the research centre, which both developed and challenged my research skills and helped me become stronger at building relationship. In addition to the research project I lectured on a weekly basis on topics such as ethics & technology, data protection, privacy and surveillance of data in relation to security technologies and health care. Furthermore, the course is introducing students to various value based design strategies (including Privacy by Design) in order to solve privacy related problems in technology.A part of the lecturing included setting the exam, coaching students individually and in groups and providing ongoing feedback on output.
