I am a graduate of the Environmental Health program at Colorado State University with interests in epidemiology and health equity. Through my coursework I have experience in air and water quality testing and extensive laboratory skills from organic chemistry and environmental health field methods lab. As an undergraduate research assistant I also contributed to an international household air pollution study by processing black carbon and PM 2.5 filter samples and completed my own thesis project on the effects of air pollution on telomere length in women in Honduras. I am a nationally certified Emergency Medical Technician with experience in pre-hospital patient care in high-stress situations. I have also worked as an Outdoor Program Instructor, responsible for leading groups of students on hiking, climbing, backcountry skiing and snowshoeing trips, as well as teaching risk management and backcountry safety.
