Update September 2019In the previous update I said I was looking for interesting challenges. Got them just as ordered. Employed to Finnish Government, I nowadays I call myself a Worplace Hacker. I actually started that when I was developing the new Campus for Lahti UAS. That job is now done and boy what a ride that was. It was filled with lots of different, mostly unexpected challenges, old habits colliding with new ways, great ideas, enthusiasm, constantly facing different levels of devotion and frustration. The work itself was demanding, extremely challenging and very rewarding at it's best. And very much similar to my current job :) The user centered approach I've used for years is still very much the core of my work. Still using all the user activation and participation methods in my toolbox and creating a few new ones on the way. Why change something that obviously works very well? Combining the workplace development to the work I’ve done on the Service Design and technology field, I’ve come up with a marvelous mix of worlds, where I enjoy working. Especially on those days I do not doubpt my choises, not to mention my sanity. Developing totally new operational models, new services, ways of seeing and thinking, new kind of spatial and social environment solutions, seems to have become a semi-permanent part of my everyday life.
