As the founder and CEO of Bioneer, Korea's first genetic engineering company, in 1992, I have devoted myself to developing technologies that make genetic engineering technology more efficient and create healthier and happier lives.Having the good fortune to begin DNA synthesis research in 1984, in the early days of genetic engineering, I have witnessed numerous genetic engineering innovations throughout my life, developed PCR, sequencing, and siRNA technologies, and produced and supplied them for the first time in Korea, further advancing these technologies. By developing innovative technologies and applying these technologies, I have lived a busy but happy and rewarding life.Through my company, Bioneer, I have developed a wide range of products crucial for genetic research. These innovations have led to the creation of hundreds of patented technology products that are pivotal in disease diagnosis, treatment, and prevention. Additionally, I have spearheaded the development of molecular diagnostics and RNA cosmeceuticals. I have also founded and currently manage siRNAgen Therapeutics, a company focused on siRNA treatments, RNApharm, which develops mRNA drugs, and AceBiome, a functional probiotics company.In the future, we will continue to study many technologies and integrate them to create innovative customer value that benefits humanity.
