Dan Hanrahan is the Agency Administrator/CEO of CESA 2. CESA 2 is one of 12 non-profit, member-driven cooperative educational service agencies in Wisconsin.The CESA 2 is headquartered in Whitewater, WI, in the UW-Whitewater Innovation Center. CESA 2 serves 74 public school districts in Dane, Dodge, Green, Jefferson, Kenosha, Racine, Rock, Walworth and Waukesha counties. We are governed by an eleven-member Board of Control representing the public school districts and the 155,000 public school students in our region.

As Executive Director of Innovations, I lead the Next Generation Schools initiative, a regional approach designed to personalize learning for all students. In addition, I facilitate strategic visioning and systems thinking consultation for school districts using social-systems design methodology. Further, I lead CESA 6's internal service designs and process improvement initiatives.

As superintendent, I initiated strategic planning which led to the development of the district's first charter school. The charter school, Rubicon Personalized Learning Academy, was designed to meet the unique needs of every child through a personalized learning approach.
