Hans C Giner is a dynamic and highly experienced entrepreneurial Executive with a record of achievement driving the rapid growth of startup and mature businesses in locations around the globe. Hans has over 30 years of specialized experience in launching and leading telecommunications organizations in the U.S., Europe and Asia-Pacific. He is recognized as having pioneered the Direct-to-Home business aka TVRO in North America in the 1980s (Luxor/Nokia). Hans also developed and managed an international SMATV business (Millisat) and facilitated the launch of the first commercial TV channels in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania (Kinnevik). In addition, Hans planned and implemented Orion Network Systems (later Loral Cyberstar) business and operational launch in Asia Pacific. As a first in Asia Pacific, Hans and his regional team provided private, multimedia network communications services to multinational businesses, governments and ISPs as well as broadcasting services and sales of transponder capacity. He initiated, negotiated and sold the largest capacity purchase in Orion history, as a first, a satellite condominium concept, a dedicated DTH Ku-band payload to DACOM in Korea. His experience and expertise also includes operating and managing a DTH service in Central Europe (UPC Direct). Founding and current member of the Columbia Tower Club and its wine club, founding member of the Seattle Chapter of the Commanderie de Bordeaux wine society, founding and current member of the Swedish American Chamber of Commerce in Seattle, current member of the Seattle Art Museum, the Frye Art Museum, and Nordic Museum.
