As Director of Leasing, my responsibility is to support our West Coast assets and its 4.8+ million sqft. of mixed use space with re-positioning strategies, elevated branding, and signed leases. Working with business leaders to execute on short - and long - term strategies; to work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to ensure the business needs are being achieved in complex lease negotiations; and effectively managing our external brokerage and brand partner relationships.

As a Real Estate Manager at SKB, I looked to put our tenants in a position to succeed by delivering on the promised experiences they signed up for. From delivering complex tenant improvement projects on time and on budget, to successfully negotiating our often difficult positions to local government agencies and multiple H.O.A. boards; the barometer of my success was the ability to fill the gaps between stressed situations and the continued need for long term business relationships.

As part of an incredibly talented and experienced team that pitched, built, launched, and operated millions of consumer facing square footage throughout North America; my primary responsibility was on the day-to-day management of all on-site operations. From handling specific landlord conflicts and lease negotiations, to delivering our store managers with tangible results in order to make their stores successful. Secondary responsibilities included; developing holistic portfolio strategies guided by a quarterly analysis of the entire fleet, robust storage and expansion programs, and the readiness to take on anything that might fall in to a “grey area” in the real estate world.

Executed ownership’s strategies related to the property management operations by directing my sales and engineering team members on the assigned portfolio, and by implementing the policies, procedures, and practices that enabled all three properties to meet and exceed their financial goals. All three of my multi-family assets located in Portland’s urban core were guided from completed construction and lease up, to a successful sale to a third party as my time wound down at Riverstone.

My first foray out of college and in to multi-family! A time where I learned leasing apartments, and providing day-to-day customer service, in the Bay Area wasn’t necessarily for the faint of heart. Still, I found my love to be client facing in this role at Archstone. In my few short years there I leased nearly 1,000 apartment homes, negotiated tough renewals on hundreds more, and to this day carry a lot of the relationships I made along the way.
