Dr Eikaas moved to Singapore in June 2005 after completing his Ph.D. from the University of Canterbury, NZ. He then went to Anchorage, Alaska for post-doctoral work in 2006. In 2007, he joined the Public Utilities Board Singapore (PUB) as the resident principal limnologist. In PUB, he established the Waterways Health & Limnology Branch, a group of engineers and scientists looking into integrated catchment water quality management and modelling. Subsequently spent 3.5 years as HOD for two departments in DHI Singapore, Environmental Technology and Chemistry & The Ballastwater Testing and Innovation Centre.After 3.5 years with DairyNZ in the capacity of Senior Water Quality Specialist, he joined Phoslock Environmental Technologies in China, but that ended with the current corona virus crisis. Now looking for new opportunities in the regions of Asia Pacific,, Americas and Europe.
