About Hans Stevelt

Hans is a Danish national who in December 1997 took up residence in Australia. After graduating with a B.Sc. from Helsingor Technical University in 1975 he joined theDanish Ship Design firm of Knud E Hansen A/S. In 1998 he founded and became technical director of Lightning Naval Architecture, an Australian firm that works on national and international projects.Hans' technical expertise ranges from broad concepts to details of cargo handling equipment. His design experience is vast covering container ships, dry cargo vessels, product carriers, cruise vessels, ferries, trailer vessels and offshore support ships both newbuildings and conversions.Hans is multilingual, speaking English, German and Danish fluently.
