My passion is to think, design and execute the best solutions for complex processes.I also enjoy guiding curious individuals and teams to acquire these skills themselves.My 30+ years of cross-industry experience have sharpened my perception and awareness to think and implement the next best practice!In the course of my career, I have realised how important it is to bring together different areas of expertise, characters, cultures and generations in successful teams. Both on a small and large scale, I have used this as a key to success. As an integrator and motivator, I know how to win people over and achieve set goals together with them.After completing my apprenticeship and some field experience as a fitter (Maschinenschlosser), I graduated in mechanical engineering at Brugg-Windisch Northwestern Switzerland University of Applied Sciences, specializing in plastics technology.For 25 years I shaped process engineering at Buss AG in Switzerland – as a process and commissioning engineer, head of technology centre, technical consultant, process developer, innovation manager, and a member of the executive board.Under my leadership, several kneading machine generations for the processing industry were launched and numerous new applications initiated & realised.At the beginning of 2015, I founded KNEADING EXPERTS. This consulting engineering firm provides value propositions in the process-engineering field for the plastics, aluminum, food and pharmaceuticals industries.Since the beginning of 2022, I have also been teaching and researching as an Associate Professor at the University of Applied Sciences (HEIA-FR) in Fribourg, Switzerland.Since 1992 I regularly publish the latest findings worldwide in international journals and as presentations at various congresses. In 2007 I was appointed lecturer at the Northwestern Switzerland University of Applied Sciences in Brugg-Windisch, and since 2008 I lead the technical seminar "Compounding Systems in Comparison" for the German Association of Engineers (VDI). In 2012 the British Institute of Materials, Minerals & Mining (IOM3) appointed me to the committee of the world's leading PVC congress.
