Founder of ALMENDE. Almende was founded in 2000 and conducts research and development activities in several ICT domains, ranging from healthcare to logistics, manufacturing systems and robotics, using Artificial Intelligence, Agent technology and Big Data Analitics.

AND has grown in these 4 years from 15 M tot 70 M in revenues and from 120 to 600 employees. Most important responsibilities were Investor Relations, Business Development, Acquisitions en Human Resources.

In this period of 8 years AND has grown from 1M tot 15 M in revenues and from 10 to 120 employees. The application of Operations Research technology to problems from Information Theory that resulted in unique compression technology was the basis of this growth. In this position I first paid most attention to Sales and realisation of Projects and after the gradual build-up of intellectual property devoted more and more of my time to R&D and Business Development. After 1990 I started the Internationalisation of AND, opening offices in the UK, followed bythe US, Germany, Italy, Spain and France. In 1995 and 1996 a large part of my work was the preparation of the company for an IPO.
