About Hans A. Hansen

I believe we have the technology today to make us independent of fossil fuels by harnessing wind, photo voltaic and geothermal power. The issues around intermittency are solvable. The best wind resources are at sea and that’s where we should harness them. The task of installing large wind turbines offshore is complex and must be undertaken with respect for the environment and during conditions favorable to personnel and equipment. My journey into offshore wind began many years ago as a seafarer. It has taught me to respect the sea. Initially working in the oil and gas industry I have had the pleasure of being part of many complex marine projects in many locations around the world. I enjoy working with people and building teams.Having worked with both an OEM and a marine contractor and having experienced many organizational functions over time as well as being client and market focused has provided me with an in depth knowledge of our industry and a balanced view of what creates successful projects.
