Several positions within the Dutch Army Engineers, 3 times overseas missions( twice in Libanon and once in Bosnia).Worked 10 years in different positions at the Dutch Engineer Training Centre. Working experience in Germany (14 year), twice in a NATO Headquarters and 4 years in the German Army Headquaters in Koblenz as liaison officer from the NLD Army.

Contact person between the German Army and the NLD Army for excercises, training and partly operations. Joined NRF meetings and combined excercises. GARFCOM( Heeres Fuehrungs Kommando) was located in Koblenz, Germany

Commanded the staff of in the netherlands Engineer Training Centre at Vught(NLD). In this period the name of the centre changed from GOC to OTC Genie.

Due to a temporary posting of the Commander to Bosnia, I was Acting Commander of this Training Centre.

Commanded a section for developement, planning, and conducting engineer related training and courses within the Engineer Training Centre at Vught, NLD. At the same time second in command of this centre. Developed an excel tool for reorganizations of training centers within the NLD Army.

Project officer for the exercises "MAKEFAST" and "LETEX", two interoperability exercises for engineers within NATO. Furthermore joined the ENTEC working group for training and courses for NATO engineers.

Staff Officer at the Northern Army Group, a NATO HQ located in Rheindahlen, Germany. Most of the time we prepared for a mission as BH Command to Bosnia. In July 1993 this HQ was joined with CENTAG and moved as LANDCENT to Heidelberg.

Worked on the Logistic site of UNHCR. Made a very effective database for the delivery of supplies to refugees in Central and North Bosnia. At the same time gathered intelligence for the G2.

Staff officer for engineer related items within the 1 (NLD) Division staff

In command of 41(NLD) Armoured Engineer Company. At that time a full operational unit in Seedorf, Germany.

In charge of the group which gave courses to cadets, engineer (reserve) officers and non-commisioned officers.I also gave lessons to other military training centers on engineer related subjects.

In charge of engineer courses given to reserve officers, young engineer officers coming from the military academy, carrier courses for officers and non-commisioned officers.

From sep 1982 to feb 1983 Second in Command. From feb 1983 -july 1983 Commander, because of non availability of a senior engineer officer. From aug 1983 - dec 1984 again second in command of this armoured engineer company within 43 InfBde.

Sailed together with my father, in a period of 3 months from the Netherlands to and in the Mediterranean Sea. The ship was a Moody 30.

Worked for the engineers of UNIFIL with the main task to protect UNIFIL posts. Worked on "The protection Wall project" to protect all UNIFIL posts against small arms fire and shrapnel. Started with the so-called T-Blocks or T-Walls, concrete elements in the form of an upside down T. Placed next to eachother they formed a wall. I also controled building.

In charge of all logistics and commander of the the logistic platoon of an armoured engineer company in Bergen/Hohne, Germany

Command of an engineer platoon to build up the infrastructure for an armoured infantry battalion in the South of Lebanon. Works:Prefabricated buildings, observation posts, roadblocks, workshops, kitchens etc.

In command of an armoured engineer platoon(40 pax) in Bergen/Hohne, Germany.
