I have spent the last 16 years leading and building the technology side and tech orgs of multiple Robotics/AR/ML/CV/Cloud companies as CTO and one as CEO. Through this process, I have had the opportunity to learn from some of the most amazing people I have ever met.I still am addicted to coding and have built out the core architecture and first code implementations for each full-stack product in those 3 companies with myself and a small team before scaling it to a full tech org. I equally enjoy the challenges of team leadership/growth, technical product creation/architecture, and in-market scaling and have grown to understand and appreciate the time and effort it takes to build a world-class team and a product which can scale globally with enough 9's - but still love the scrappy skunkworks projects which initially create them.I am most excited by building and leading product and technical teams which sit on the edge of the future and make things which seemed impossible and magical become a reality.I was hooked on HCI and robotics at an early age and started programming at 5 (QBasic -> C++ -> Java -> Python -> ...), built my first robot and computer vision system at 11 (analog capture cards, 320x240 stereo, face detection, etc) and have never looked back.While I love technology, the experiences that I am most proud of are those where, through a significant amount of work and perseverance, the team which we built came together and not only had great time taking on what seemed to be an impossible challenge, but solved it in ways that none of us individually could have created and a level that no one had done before.
