I own and operate the Mitchell Madison Group with about 50 colleagues. I focus on performance improvement for large corporations, private equity firms and governments. I am an expert on supply chain issues, have published widely on the subject and written a book on Strategic Sourcing. Recently, I launched a patent pending sourcing platform for complex recurring purchases using competitive cost models rather than item based bidding. Persistent inflation necessities cost model based contracts so that changes in input prices (and specifications) can be handled fairly and ahead of time. Western corporations have begun to shift away from China to make their supply chains more resilient and diverse. Corporations do that have the internal capacity to redesign their supply chains without outside expertise and technology.
