As Global Strategic Education Advisor, I support the implementation and monitoring of VVOB's projects and programmes, focusing on early childhood education (ECE), Primary Education and Gender Transformative Pedagogy. These include programmes funded by the EU, USAID and the Belgium Government as well as private foundations including the LEGO Foundation, ELMA Foundation, etc. Together VVOB's global team, I work closely together with the Management Teams, Strategic and Technical Advisors of VVOB's program country offices, to whom I provide strategic and technical support and advice. Identification and development of new VVOB programmes on early childhood education, primary education, and on gender in education are part of my main duties. I regularly participate and represent VVOB at international conferences and provide input voor VVOB's external communications. I also contribute to the production of technical papers and briefs and to VVOB's policy development. I am also VVOB's Global Gender Focal Person.

Education Advisor for the EU funded iGROW project on establishing a whole school approach to Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights and Gender-based Violence in Suriname lower secondary vocational schools. Thematic focus on: gender in education; sexual and reproductive health and rights; gender-based violence; preventive student care in education; continuous professional development of school leaders and teachers. Duties: contribute to general project management; technical advise; implementation of outputs on continuous professional development of teachers and school leaders; capacity building of civil society organisations.

Education Advisor Technical & Vocational Education and Training at VVOB Suriname. Thematic focus on: continuous professional development of school-leaders through development of a system of professional learning communities; continuous professional development and mentoring programmes for novice TVET teachers; continuous professional development of teachers on preventive student care in education; general capacity building of Suriname's Education Ministry Departement of TVET. Contributing to resource mobilisation, donor diversification and programme formulation are also a part of my duties.

As programme manager I am accountable for all VVOB operations within Suriname, including programme implementation, monitoring and reporting; finances; human resources and internal organization; duties also include donor diversification (prospection and formulation); managing relationships with strategic (governement and civil society) partners and other relevant local and international stakeholders.
