About Hansel Gonzalez

Geophysicist passionate about practical application of geophysical tools for solving oil and gas challenges. Having been exposed to both the technical side of Geophysics and the everyday needs of oil and gas operators, I strive to be a bridge of communication, to assure geophysical technologies delivered become used and are of added value to the O&G operator’s business unit. My technical expertise resides in both conventional and unconventional fields, specializing in high end geophysical disciplines, 4D, seismic inversion, imaging, AVO, microseismic, among others. Prior experience includes working domestically and globally for New Ventures, exploration, near field exploration and development of oil and gas fields in areas such as the North Sea, West Africa, Gulf of Mexico, onshore US, Paris Basin, Mexico among others; as well as geophysical and interdisciplinary project team management and mentoring, plus the programming of leading geophysical technologies into internal software. Also an Executive Master of Management in Energy degree graduate (BI Norwegian Business School & iFP 2014). Other key challenges included participation in the establishment of new technical interdisciplinary unconventional exploration teams (Paris, Copenhagen) as well as routine preparation of technical presentations to peers, upper management, partners and governmental entities.

Listed skills include Geophysics, Seismology, Geology, Petrophysics, and 29 others.
