Morning Kick-Off:Communicated and coordinated with over 40, on and off-campus resources and partners to create a Resource Fair for new students and their supporters. Implemented programming that encouraged all new students to interact with and utilize all resources while attending Cal Poly.Sip of SLO Days:Connected with a local winery, Edna Valley, and arranged seven evening entertainment events for the parents and supporters of incoming students. This was an opportunity for parents and supporters to have their questions answered in a casual setting by my knowledgeable staff and to connect with a member of the San Luis Obispo community.SLO Nites @ the REC:Organized and implemented over 20 different activities and games with a budget of $7000 inside Cal Poly's state-of-the-art Recreation Center. As one of the two new events for SLO Days 2018, it encouraged students to enjoy summer on Cal Poly's campus and to look forward to their transition into college.Late Nights in the Residence Hall:Planned and executed a late night alternative event by securing 2000$ from Cal Poly's Substance Use Abuse Advisory Committee's community fund. With the goal of improving the college social environment through substance-free alternative programming, the new, outdoor movie event promoted a healthy and safe campus community from students first steps on campus.
