If you told me 20 years ago I'd write for a living, I'd scoff. Yet, here I am - an experienced copywriter and content strategist with knack for weaving words into compelling stories. 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐬𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐣𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐲?As a child, I was always an avid reader. I dabbled in writing, filling notebooks with stories inspired by authors like J.K. Rowling and Mary Higgins Clark. But a career as a writer? Unconventional back then.Years later, I found myself working as an administrative officer in a web design company. When tasked with reviewing a client's website, the stunning visuals were overshadowed by poor copy. "I can write better than this," I thought.𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐩𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐭.Fueled by passion, I returned to university for a Bachelor's in English, juggling work and studies. This experience honed my writing skills, research abilities, organizational skills and analytical thinking—essential tools for my job as a copywriter and content strategist. During that same period, I had the incredible opportunity to collaborate with actress, dancer and producer Nalini Aubeeluck for a film called ‘Vie Volée’. Together, we co-wrote the screenplay which challenged me to explore a genre (or theme) that's far outside my comfort zone, and it's been a rewarding experience.Shortly after graduating, I landed my first full-time job as a content writer. With nearly over 7 years of experience, I evolved into a copywriter, developing a passion for crafting marketing content and weaving powerful brand stories.
