Under the umbrella Norautron Suzhou are a of a small group of three companies whereof all reports under me: Norautron Suzhou Co Ltd which is an EMS provider for Customers worldwide, Norautron Import & Export Co Ltd which is a trading company, also serving Customers across the globe and Norautron USA Ltd which is a sales office and warehousing hub serving Norautrons Customers in the USA.The Company had an annual revenue of USD 65mill when I signed on. The following years the revenue was doubled and profitability increased by 50%. The Company managed through the worst Covid period without a drop in revenue and inclined its profitability. The Chinese entity(ies) is set up and run totally independently from the Head Office and other Group affiliated Companies. All functions, like Sales/Marketing, Operations, Supply Chain/Purchasing/Logistics, Quality/EHS, Finance and HR exist locally and report directly to me. There are approximately 400 employees, of which 130 indirect, which despite the increase in revenue is a decline in headcount compared to previous years. This has been achieved through focus on automation and LEAN processes. Norautron is a full-service electronics manufacturing provider. The products are high end, high complexity, and high cost, typically IPC class 3 products. The product portfolio is low volume/high mix. Main segments served out of Suzhou/China is Marine, Medical, General Industry, Connectivity and Green Energy. By full-service can be understood NPI and Sample Run, Industrialization, Manufacturing and Product Life Cycle Management. To fulfil this task a number of ISO certificates and certifications with other institutions have been obtained. The location of Norautron Suzhou’s Customer base is truly global, stretching from Eastern Australia, across Asia and Europe through to Western USA. Hans Christian L. Assume full responsibility for Diab's Operations in China, including P&L and BS. Diab has two manufacturing facilities in China, one located in Kunshan and the other one located in Zhangjiagang,Annual turnover at Kunshan plant is currently at RMB 350mill/year (USD 55mill). The Zhangjiagang plant is estimated to have an annual turnover at RMB 150mill/year (USD 23mill) with current set-up. Target is to reach an accumulated turnover for the two plant of RMB 700-800mill/year (USD 110-125 mill) within 2-3 years.In total approximately 350 employees report to me today, a number that will increase with the ramp up of the new Zhangjiagang facility.Diab (Kunshan) Co LtdThe Kunshan factory is one of the world leaders when it comes to finishing and kitting of composite core materials for the Wind industry. There is a strong drive in the Company to further develop new Markets and Customers within Marine, Transportation, Industry and Aerospace segments. The plant’s main Customer base is in China with some export to other Asian countries. Diab New Materials (Zhangjiagang) Co LtdThe Zhangjiagang factory is a greenfield project that went live July/2016. The investment is one of the largest in the Group for decades. The factory produce blocks of composite foam material. The product quality from the plant has been recognized as the best within the Group and thereby also one of the best at the world market.Hans Christian L. In the period 2007 to 2009 a green field project in China was developed from the point of locating city of establishment, hiring staff, purchasing machines and equipment, developing Customer base until ramp up of production. From 2009 Managing the plant having 80-100 employees. Full P&L and Balance Sheet responsibility.The plant manufactures Brass Bearing Cages for Multinational Bearing Producers where correct level of quality is essential. Initially Customer base was in China only, but has been developed into export to Asian as well as European countries. Trading with sister plants in Europe in a start-up phase.
