From working with the early stages of the digital paygate in Norrbottens Media, to recommender systems and data journalism, I did a lot of different things and provided input from the standpoint of a journalist. I liased with developers and analyzed new technologies for potential use in a newsroom setting in one of the largest media groups in Sweden.

Having done almost everything there is to do at a leading regional newspaper, from local editor in the wilderness of Swedish Lapland, to news editor, I've gained invaluable experience and insight into the industry. Through the fellowship, I traveled to 15+ states in the US and investigated how the mining industry had affected societies around the country. To push my limits, I took on a temporary position as news reporter for Expressen.se, Swedens second largest news site – with approximately 2,5 million unique readers weekly. From day one, I wrote about everything from the royal family to the terror attack on Utøya. Always with quality and speed of reporting. I also had a chance to try on live tv-reporting.

Working as a part time contractor from home, I was asked to work on tasks ranging from writing blog posts to making ad mock-ups, thinking of new ideas for campaigns and in the end, managing other part time contractors.
