CurrentI work with Tax and Finance leaders who want to increase cash-tax savings through federal and state research credits. I have extensive experience working with companies of all sizes (including start-ups and Fortune 500 companies) and industries (including Technology, Manufacturing, Financial Services, Aerospace and Defense, Telecommunications, Consumer Goods, and Retail). Companies that hire employees or contractors to perform engineering, IT, software development, and manufacturing activities in the U.S. are typically eligible to claim research credits. I collaborate with clients to optimize and document research credits, while minimizing disruptions to business and tax operations. I have successfully represented many Fortune 500 clients involved in federal and state audits of research tax credits, helping them sustain credits during IRS Exams and Appeals. Additionally, I advise clients on complex tax issues such as Section 174 capitalization, due diligence and transaction planning, and provide R&D credit-related ASC 740 provision support and risk assessment.
