Research and design specialist Responsible for the design and deployment of e-mail facilities/infrastructure, based ona Microsoft Exchange solution. The project also included such items as naming convention, integrating with internet, migration and infrastructure sizing for 16.000+ users.Project Manager migrationPreparation, engineering migration and support for a user community of 600+ users spread over a number of locations. Technology involved was Windows NT Workstation migrating to Windows XP professional.

Project manager secure SOHO service: This project was carried out for a research department of the Dutch ministry of defence involved the development and deployment of a secure communication facility for employees working from home. Technology used was Netscape mail, iPortal and PKI. Hans was personally responsible for organising the delivery and implementation of all security certificates. All participating team members were NATO screened.Project manager migration: This project involved the migration of Office95 to Office2000 for a department of the Rijkswaterstaat. Besides the migration of 650+ clients this project involved the migration of all 650+ clients from an X.400 client to an Exchange (Outlook) client. A prerequisite

ConsultantResponsible for a feasibility study for Rijkswaterstaat of videoconferencing, improving communication in a decentralised organisation. Pilots carried out under his supervision incorporated a technical evaluation as well as organisational proof of concept to establish the value of the technology and to establish user acceptance of the medium.Project manager redesign LANProject carried out for a regional department of Rijkswaterstaat with 1200 employees involved the redesign of the LAN infrastructure. The reason for the redesign was Y2K non-conformance. This major project involved responsibility for design and product selection for a new switched LAN infrastructure and the deployment and migration at all 15 locations.Project manager performance WAN:Projects carried out for several departments of Rijkswaterstaat involved the performance assessment of the WAN connections, application behaviour analysis and resulted in practical advice to optimise network use.
